Designed For Joy is searching for an experienced, reliable, and task-oriented Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the executive leadership team and provide essential support across multiple functions within the organization. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Job Duties 

  • General Administrative Support:
    • Assist with daily studio operations, including responding to emails and managing correspondence.
    • Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical.
    • Prepare and distribute documents as needed.
  • Event Support:
    • Help coordinate logistics for in-house and local events, corporate lunches, and community outreach activities, including studio set up and material preparation.
    • Assist with event registration and guest communication.
  • Data Management:
    • Support data entry and maintenance of databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping for programs and donors.
    • Assist in generating reports and tracking metrics related to program outcomes.
  • Communication:
    • Assist in drafting newsletters, social media content, and other communication materials to engage the Designed For Joy community.
  • Project Assistance:
    • Support various projects and initiatives as assigned, collaborating with team members to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) and comfortable using various software and online tools. Revenue platforms for sales and donations include Network for Good and Shopify.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A passion for the nonprofit’s mission and a commitment to serving the community.

This position is part-time at 20 – 25 hours per week. Contract through December 23, 2024. Pay $16 an hour
