Refund policy

Thank you for shopping at Designed for Joy. We want you to be happy with your purchase, and we’ve put the following guidelines in place to make returns and exchanges easy.  The good news is, we are the manufacturer.  We can repair or replace any leather item you purchased from us.

General 
You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of for a full refund to the original payment method or an exchange. 

Returns and Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except in cases of damaged, defective, or incorrect items.

If the item is damaged, we are happy to send a replacement or send you a label to return the damaged item.  Please email warehouse@designedforjoy.com to request a return shipping label or an exchange. 

If returning by mail, ensure that the item is securely packed and includes your order number or name and address. 

Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or becomes defective through no fault of your own, we will repair it or replace it. If the item cannot be repaired, we will replace it or issue store credit for its value.  We will happily send a return label for damaged items. 

Condition of Items
To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be in their original condition, unused, and with all original tags or packaging. Items that are opened, used, or damaged may not be eligible for a return.

Store Credit 
If you return the item after 14 days but within 30 days, we’ll issue you a store credit for the full purchase amount.

Non-Returnable Items
Certain items, including, but not limited to gift cards, imperfect, sale, or clearance items, consumables and personalized products, may not be eligible for return or exchange unless faulty or defective.  Contact us for details or any questions. 

Proof of Purchase 
Please retain your receipt or email order confirmation as proof of purchase. 

Refund Method
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please note that it may take several business days for the refund to appear in your account.
