Why We Gather
At Designed For Joy, we provide women emerging from crisis with stability through transitional employment and support, removing the stigma of vulnerability. Our workforce readiness program supports women facing complex barriers to employment, including substance use, homelessness, justice involvement, domestic violence, human trafficking, and refugee displacement.
Every element of this evening directly funds that life-changing work, from transitional jobs to the wraparound care that equips women to enter the workforce prepared and empowered.
To date, we have provided safe, dignified employment for almost 200 women, paid out more than $750,000 in competitive wages, and seen 90% of our graduates transition to permanent work. Join us in celebrating this impact and investing in the next 100 women.
