What the news didn't share was that Beckey came to work with us the last month during our snow days. With snow on her tent, she used the money she earned that day and rented a hotel room for her and her friends to stay warm. We are inspired by Beckey and her generous act of hospitality.

Our new Triangle Impact Tote project provides living wage day-work for homeless women in Raleigh. These impactful totes are created with sustainable materials from The Scrap Exchange then, with the help of DFJ leaders, participants who are referred by The Women's Center create the bags.

Volunteers help by providing warm lunches on work days and groups who precut fabric allowing the participants to leave for the day with the pride of seeing the final product and knowing they made those bags.

Donate to Designed For Joy and provide safe, dignified work for Raleigh's most vulnerable women here.

You can purchase Triangle Impact Totes starting March 10 at noon on a Facebook Live sale. Bags that aren't sold on the live shopping event will be available in the studio that weekend.

Shopping hours in March are Wednesday- Friday 10am- 2pm and Saturday 10am- 5pm. 2409-117 Crabtree Blvd., Raleigh, N.C. 27604
