More Space Means More Jobs

If you've been in the studio to volunteer or shop recently, you know we're scaling the walls with shelving and getting creative with space for materials and finished product.

Last year's sales and donations were so strong they allowed us to continue hiring and increased payroll over 2019, even after being closed for seven weeks due to the lockdown.

More orders mean the purchase of more materials and the need for even more artisans, which means we need more space.

So, here we are with a growing business/nonprofit that could serve more women, women many people won't hire, if we had more space.

There is great need for work for women emerging from homelessness, sex trafficking and other tough situations. We are willing to hire women living on the streets, coming straight from prison, and those with no or little job experience. We believe living wage employment is the most sustainable way to help.

Your financial support allows for a future new home for Designed For Joy that will serve more women, both our regular artisans and women in our day-work program.

$100,000 goal with a push goal for $30,000 in March.
