DESIGNED FOR JOY BENEFITS FROM MIDTOWN BEACH MUSIC
Launching Equipped Women Into The Marketplace
RALEIGH, N.C., April 27, 2022 — Get your groove on and support two great causes this summer during the North Hills Midtown Beach Music Series. This year, a percentage of proceeds will benefit Designed For Joy (DFJ) and Ronald McDonald House. Designed For Joy will be featured at the popular event for five weeks, beginning May 26, 2022. Stop by the DFJ information tent to shop for sustainable and responsibly sourced products and learn about volunteering opportunities.
Event Details
Already underway, the celebrated Midtown Beach Music Series will hold its next performance Thursday, April 28th and Designed For Joy couldn't be more excited. "What an amazing opportunity for local nonprofits like Designed For Joy to spotlight their impact in Raleigh to a large audience," remarked DFJ Founder and Executive Director Cary Heise.
Dance the night away, listening to feel-good Beach Music, Motown, Oldies, R&B and more through Thursday, June 23rd. "We're happy to host another exciting concert season here at North Hills in partnership with Designed For Joy," said Vanessa Thompson, Event Manager, Midtown Events, LLC. "The Midtown Beach Music Series is a beloved special event, featuring a popular music genre of our region, celebrating warm weather and community. Beach Music appeals to young and old alike," added Thompson.
Tickets are on sale now, and parking is free. Be sure to take advantage of an early bird ticket price of $5 per person, with free admission to kids ages 13 and under. Tickets are $10 per person on the day of the event, also with free admission to kids 13 and under.
Direct Impact
For DFJ, the event proceeds help advance the positive and direct impact made on the lives of vulnerable women. "We are providing living wage work for women in crisis. This exposure will benefit us greatly by exposing us to new shoppers, volunteers, and corporate partners," detailed Heise. "I can't wait to report back after the summer and share with our community how the Kane Realty Group helped influence our work through this fun music series."

About Designed For Joy
Designed For Joy is a transitional work experience for women coming from trafficking, homelessness, time in prison, overcoming addiction or other vulnerable situations. We provide living wage work hours while building confidence and refreshing resumes.
The women who create our brand with us are those living at high risk for sex and labor trafficking and/or food and housing insecurities. We partner with long-running ministries or local NGOs serving women that may be coming out of trafficking, emergency situations, generational poverty, homelessness, rehab, or prison. We believe in a community approach. We provide the vocational resource component in this holistic care approach while our professional partners do what they do best.
