Our Programs
Our referring partners and case managers at local non-profits refer women to our work programs. We provide transitional employment for women emerging from crisis situations. We offer a competitive wage of $17.50 per hour. The way to participate in our programs is to be referred from one of our partners above.
Details and Highlights of our Programs
Day Work Program: Our day work program is offered to new artisans to provide daily funds for immediate needs. Referred women are given the title Designed For Joy "Artisan". Artisans are invited to work part time for five hours a day up to 7 days. They are paid cash daily as a 1099 employee. They will receive details about our 3 month work program during their 7 days with us.
3 Month Program: If Designed For Joy is a good fit for you, you could be invited to participate in our 3 month program. The length of this temporary employment program gives women job stability, to get life back on track. We also provide needed access to resources for housing, education, enrichment, health services, and more, while they work with us.
Physical Requirements to work with us:

- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Good grip strength
- Fine motor skills
- Capable of lifting fifteen pounds
- Good eyesight
- Open to learning new skills
- Able to take instruction well
