Internship Details
- Positions available year-round; flexible scheduling. 6-32 hours per week available. Hybrid available. Must be able to come in the office twice a week.
- Ideal for college students, recent grads, or anyone exploring nonprofit careers.
- Unpaid, but may qualify for course credit depending on your school.

Retail & Event Sales Assistant
Compensation: $17.50/hour
Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, including weekends!
Designed For Joy is seeking an enthusiastic Retail & Event Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming, positive experience for customers in our retail store and at pop-up events. You’ll assist with sales, merchandising, event setup/breakdown, and provide excellent customer service while representing our mission.
Responsibilities include:

Greeting and assisting customers with product selection and purchases

Supporting retail operations such as restocking, tidying, and merchandising

Assisting with setup, execution, and breakdown of pop-up shops and events

Sharing the Designed For Joy story with customers and fostering community engagement

Processing transactions accurately and efficiently
What we’re looking for:

Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused personality

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and occasional evenings

Ability to lift and move 25 lb boxes/displays for events
This is a flexible part-time position at $17.50/hour with opportunities to grow alongside our mission-driven team.
